John Leaman House, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, quietly at home with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. House of Reform and Mary Gladys House of Reform and brothers, Ganus House of Columbus, Miss. and Ellison House of Reform.He is survived by his wife, Geneva Ruth House of Tuscaloosa; sons, Paul Jeffery House of Marysville, Wash. and Phillip Anthony House of Tuscaloosa); grandchildren, Morgan Grace House of Tuscaloosa, Cody Bryant House and Parker William House of Marysville, Wash.; and sisters, Jewel Shelton of Reform and Sarah Miller of McCalla. Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Kelly officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to services.John was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather. He was a long time member of Taylorville Baptist church. He retired from the railroad where he worked many years as a drawbridge attendant. He had a passion for fishing and family and was never happier than when he could combine the two.
