Judy Hamner Jones

TUSCALOOSA - Judy Hamner Jones, age 86, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away October 6, 2018 at DCH Regional Medical Center. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Memory Hill Gardens with Pastor Josh Howell of Hopewell Baptist Church officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie T. Jones; father Early Bradford Hamner, Sr.; mother, Rosa Lee Johns Hamner; and brother, Early Bradford Hamner, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmie Ronald Jones and David Thomas Jones (Cindy); sister, Yvonne Hamner Dewberry; grandchildren, Rissa Jones, Lisa Garner (Kevin), Carmen Mitchell (Jeremy) and Matt Jones (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Raymond Garner, Loren Garner, Alexus Jones, Sarah Mitchell, Logan Jones, Marlee Jones and Chandler Jones; and four nieces and their families.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a former member of Eastern Star. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Special thanks to Rachel Brown, her neighbor, who has helped her in so many ways throughout the years. Thank you also to the staff at Morning Pointe Memory Care Facility for their wonderful care the last few months.
