Peggy, Ronnie, and family...while my heart breaks for your loss, I rejoice with you that your precious Mother lives eternally with Jesus. I have just learned this sad news from our sweet friend, Lisa Fitts Romanello. She posted a precious picture of her and Peggy on FB. How I treasure the memories of my life in first and second grade at Englewood when my parents had built the house near y'all. I can still smell your Mama's cooking! Such good memories of jumping rope on your carport, checking the chickens for eggs, Claude and Ronnie building forts better than mine and Peggy's! I loved your parents dearly and cherish the memories with your family. Not too long ago, I was talking to my husband about you all and thanking God for those precious times. I remember the little tissue doll Peggy had on her bed...and her treasure box made of seashells...I remember Mrs. Mable keeping me and offering me sweet tea when Mama & Daddy had to take my baby sister to the ER. And Mr. Vonceil was always so sweet to me, too. With all my heart, I pray and trust that God will continue to enable you by His strength and grace as you miss your sweet Mama. Love you all very much! I truly believe she is resting in heaven which she has more than earned , she is at peace , she is at home

You are in my thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

I have very fond memories of Mrs. Mitchell from Englewood Elementary to TCHS and even after I had children attending Englewood to Hillcrest High School.  She was indeed the perfect example of a Godly Woman as in the Holy Bible.  I know that she has seen Mr. Mitchell now and he probably took her over to see my parents, but most of all she has seen the face of Jesus her Savior.
