

Marvin Daniel Foster, age 91, of Coaling, passed away April 11, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Coaling Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Wand officiating. Burial will follow in Coaling Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary; son, Danny Foster; parents, Warren and Norma Foster; two sisters, Warrene Foster Norris and Sarah Hicks; and special friend, Lou Mills. He is survived by his daughters, Aloma Wilson (Thomas) and Jo King (Joel); two sisters, Lucy Snider and Jean Hyche; three brothers, Roy, Charley, and Wayne Foster all of Coaling; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Marvin served his country with honor during World War II. He was a lifelong member of Coaling Methodist Church, where he loved singing the old southern gospel songs with his entire family, gathered around the piano. What a wonderful blessing from God that he enjoyed almost 91 years of good health.Pallbearers will be grandsons, Stan and Kelly Bush, Wes King, son-in-law, Joel King, and nephews, Brian Foster and Brad Hyche.Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors of the Coaling community. Special thanks to niece, Nancy Snider, and special friends, Mary Lou and Joe Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coaling Methodist Church Music Fund.
