

.Max Brian Wilson, Sr., age 80, of Tuscaloosa, was a servant of the Lord who went home to Jesus Christ on August 4, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016, at East McFarland Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Palmer and Bro. Doug Reeves officiating. Music will be presented by members of the church. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today, August 6, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrtle Wilson.Max was the loving husband of Nell H. Wilson; loving father of his daughter, Patricia W. Sewell (Chris); sons, Max Brian Wilson, Jr. (Lori) and Alan Wilson (DiAnna); and loving grandfather of Lauren Dains (Nathan), Brooks Crawford (Kathryn), Daniel Wilson, Madison Williamson (Patrick), Tyler Crawford (Caroline) and Parker Wilson. Max was also blessed with his great-grandchildren, Rylie Lancaster and Harrison Dains and had many nieces and nephews.Max was born March 4, 1936. He retired from Golden Flake and served in the United States Navy for four years and served on the Bessemer Police Department.Max was a member of East McFarland Baptist Church for 25 years. He volunteered at DCH Regional Medical Center in the Cancer Center. He was a blessing to his entire family and all of those he worked and served with.Pallbearers will be Nathan Dains, Brooks Crawford, Daniel Wilson, Tyler Crawford, Parker Wilson and Chris Sewell.Honorary pallbearers are members of East McFarland Baptist Church and volunteers of DCH Regional Medical Center Cancer Center.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the DCH Regional Medical Center and Wounded Warriors.
