Nancy C Smith

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose faith and love for her family shaped every aspect of her life. A godly woman with a servant’s heart, she cherished her church, her Sunday school class, and the fellowship of her church family. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her strength and the guiding light of her life.

She was married to her beloved husband, Bobbie Lee Smith Sr., for 53 years before his passing. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Geneva Pearl and Ray E. Cutrer.

Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Kimberly Smith, Bobbie L. Smith Jr. (Mary Beth), and Timothy W. Smith (Janet); her grandchildren: Wesley Smith, Brett Smith (Bridgette), Trey Smith, Clay Smith (Crista), Travis Smith, Ashleigh Davis (John Eric), Leslie Smith, Lauren Ware (Adam), Ty Smith, Hannah Birmingham (Jacob), and Bailey Jones; and her great-grandchildren: Zoey Davis, Emerson Davis, Kynnedi Ware, Tucker Davis, Jaxon Ware, Wyatt Ware, Nevaeh Norman, Rowan Birmingham, Willow Davis, Remi Birmingham, Ridge Ware, Lennon Jones, and Reese Birmingham; Her special sister in laws Janice McCarter, Wanza Smith.

Nancy found joy in the simple things — being with her family, going to church, and just being present in the moments that mattered. She had a warm smile, a steady kind of love, and a way of offering wisdom without ever needing many words. She will be deeply missed by all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, with Bro. Ray Hallman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

The family finds peace knowing Nancy is now reunited in Heaven with her husband and parents, and resting in the arms of Jesus.

Pallbearers will be grandsons John Eric, Adam, Jacob and Emerson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Johnson at Northport DCH and Hospice of West Alabama, especially to Robyn, her caseworker for Hospice of West Alabama.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse.
