

Julia Nell Wilson, 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at DCH in Northport. She was a successful Insurance Agent for Nationwide Insurance, owning and operating the agency for over 20 years. No matter where she was or who she was with, she would share the gospel of Jesus Christ and what her faith meant to her. She loved and cared for her family and always has such sage advice to pass along. Her family held her in high esteem. Known and loved by many, she was affectionately known as “Sweet Aunt Nell” or “Gran.”
Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Doris Hynde; husband, Max B. Wilson; and son-in-law Christopher Sewell. She is survived by her three children: Patti Sewell, Brian (Lori) Wilson and Alan (DiAnna) Wilson; grandchildren: Lauren (Nathan) Dains, Brooks (Kathryn) Crawford, Tyler (Caroline) Crawford, Daniel Wilson, Madison (Patrick) Williamson and Parker (Emme) Wilson; four great-grandchildren: Rylie E. Lancaster, Harrison Dains, Elijah Crawford and Isaiah Crawford; sisters: Barbara (Robert) Huie, and Gay (Dr. Gary) Russell; her friend and caregiver Jackie Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 03, 2022 from 1-2pm from East McFarland Baptist Church, with Funeral Services immediately following at 2pm. Services will be officiated by Bro. Chad Palmer, and under the direction of Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider. There will be no formal graveside services, however, Ms. Wilson will be laid to rest beside her husband, at Memory Hill Gardens, Garden of Prayer.
Active Pallbearers will include: Taylor Russell, Daniel Wilson, Parker Wilson, Patrick Williamson, Brooks Crawford, Tyler Crawford and Nathan Dains. Recognized as Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Huie and Dr. Gary Russell.
