TUSCALOOSA - Rebecca Reeves Mims, age 61, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., went to meet the Lord on October 16, 2017. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Memory Hill Gardens with burial following under direction of Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Polly Reeves; her brother, Richard Reeves; and mother-in- law, Myrtle Mims.
She is survived by her husband, William Carl Mims; daughters, Rachel Blum (Michael), Clarksville, Indiana, and Hayley Dees (Chad) of Columbus, Mississippi; stepson, William Daryl Mims (Danita) of Northport, Alabama; grandchildren, Wyatt Blum, Adelaide Blum, Caden Dees, Reed Dees and Alexis Mims; brother, Stanley Reeves (Debbie) of Cottondale, Alabama; sister-in-law, Sherry Reeves, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; nieces and nephews.
Rebecca retired after 35 years in the insurance business. She enjoyed going to car shows, races, riding motorcycles, traveling and gardening.
