TUSCALOOSA - Shirley Vintson Lunceford, age 76, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away in her home surrounded by her family on April 10, 2018. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Hodo presiding. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Fid" Vintson and Annie Loyal Vintson.
Survivors include her daughters, Sonja Herron (Ray), Lynn Arnwine (Neal) and Valerie Akins Butler (Bobby); grandchildren, Jarrod and Justin Hunt (Jennifer), Will, Bobby, Matt and Anna Arnwine and Austen and Ashten Akins; great-grandchildren, Jaiden and Jack Hunt, Charleigh and Laurel Arnwine, Camden Hughes and Peyton Hunt; sisters, Judy Stewart (Dennis) and Martha Jane Tyner (David) and extended family, Cassidy, Jade and Houston Lunceford and Jeff Hunt.
She was a true beauty capable of lighting up any room she entered. She had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Our family is thankful for the love and prayers during this sorrowful time. Now she is in the arms of Jesus, free of sickness and rejoicing in glory.
