Terry L. Walby

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020, in Memory Hill Gardens with Bro. Ben Jones officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Walby was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Dorothy Walby.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Ginger Walby; daughters, Connie Shields (Tim), Pam Morris (Dodie), and Jenn Swindle (Check); son, Wes Walby (Tina); sisters, Linda Johnson (Roy), and Nancy Strickland; grandchildren, Jennifer Ayers (Lance), Myrrick Walby (Haylie), Tyler Appleby, Eddie Appleby, Tarah Hamlet (Jordan), Brandon Shields, Tanner Morris, Mikellie Walby, Kali Knight (Lucas), and Dusty Swindle (Kimberly); great-grandchildren, Anna Beth, Presley & Evan Ayers, Jase & Eva Brooke Walby, and Jordan Swindle; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, R.T. & Yvonne Ballard; and special friend Jo Lee.

Terry was an avid gardener, loved tractors, fishing, hunting and Auburn football. He was a faithful member at Robertson Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Tuscaloosa County Schools Transportation Department as a bus shop mechanic.

Pallbearers will be Myrrick Walby, Jordan Hamlet, Lance Ayers, Chance Stephens, Rodney Ballard and Kaleb Ballard.

Honorary pallbearers are Employees of Tuscaloosa County Schools Transportation Department, Robertson Chapel Baptist Church, employees of Hobby Lobby, and Comfort Care Hospice.
