

Warren Findlay, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away peacefully at the age of 68 years old, on April 19, 2023. Graveside services will be held on April 22, 2023 at Zion Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Gordo Alabama at 3 PM. Private family time will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home Saturday April 22, 2023 from 1PM till 2PM.
Warren was preceded in death by his loving wife; Gwen Findlay, his parents; James and Janelle Findlay, his sister-in-law; Cherry L. Findlay (Kris), and his grandparents; George and Catharine Hadaway, Harry and Fannie Findlay.
He is survived by his sister, Denise Findlay Bush of Fairhope, Alabama, his brothers; Mike Findlay (Rhonda) of Odenville, Alabama, Kris Findlay of Birmingham, Alabama. Also special friend Jan Strickland of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Warren was born on May 11, 1954 in Warner Robbins Georgia. Through his life he lived in Anchorage Alaska, Macon Georgia, Knoxville Tennessee, Atlanta Georgia, Birmingham Alabama, Marion Alabama and Tuscaloosa Alabama.
He was a graduate of Mountain Brook High school, and received an Associates Degree from Herzing Institute. He worked in the cable industry throughout his career, and was known as the best troubleshooter in the business. His career took him all over the country as a contractor where he used his fine skills to solve very complex system problems. He married the love of his life, Gwen, in 1990, and was happily married until her untimely death in 2013. Warren was known as Dev to those close to him, and behind his rough exterior was a man with a kind heart. He worried most about those less fortunate than himself, and he often did acts of kindness to help, when most did not know. He will be missed by those who knew him well.
Pallbearers will be; Kris Findlay, Mike Findlay, Andy Findlay, Josh McKinnon, Lee McKinnon, and Craig Ivey.
