

Born June 15, 1926 in Kingman, Kingman Co., Kansas, she married William George Dipp on April 20, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. Throughout her adult life, she worked as a factory worker, food preparer and a nurse’s aide. She was active in the Seventh day Adventist Church. She taught Sabbath school classes, helped with the poor & needy outreach and she worked side by side with her husband as a Pathfinder Deputy Director. She was very talented at crocheting and needlework.
They started their married life in Bruneau, Idaho, moved to Boise, Idaho, then to Santa Rosa, CA. Upon retirement in 1979, they moved to Victor, Montana. At the age of 88, she returned to Idaho to reside with her loving niece, Verla Tipton. They enjoyed her favorite activities which were car rides, enjoying the scenery and eating in restaurants. When declining health required her to reside in a care home, she quickly became known for her kind and happy demeanor.
Imogene is survived by two daughters: Carolyn (Daniel) Liss of Superior, MT and Connie (Reggie) Franks of Carmichael, CA. She has three grandchildren: Glenda (Neil) Dolecheck of Seaside, OR, William Liss of Darby, MT and Corey Franks of Carmichael, CA. Two great grandsons: Andrew Knutson of MT and Christopher Knutson of OR, her sister, Shirley (Joel) Ashley of Clackamas, OR and brother, Donald Lewis of Springfield, OR and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband William George Dipp, sisters, Emogene Maud Lewis, Helen (Donald) Stanger, Cloe Patton, Lois (Rellis) Murphy, brother, Delbert Lewis and her parents, Roy Wils Lewis and Elsie Sadie Lewis (Moberly).
Services will be held at White Mortuary “Chapel by the Park” on April 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Viewing will begin at 1:00 pm. Imogene will rest next to her husband, William G. Dipp at the Victor Cemetery, Victor, MT. Condolences may be left at www.whitemortuary.com.
