Marrietta Presnell

Marrietta Presnell, 80, of Twin Falls passed away early Friday morning, December 6, 2013 at Bridgeview Estates in Twin Falls.

Marrietta was born April 8, 1933 in Hansen, Idaho the daughter of Everett and Alice Mothershed Dutt. She grew up and attended schools in Hansen; graduating from Hansen High School. Marietta married Jack Presnell in Twin Falls and together they raised three children, Wayne, Katie and Jackie. Jack was in the service and they lived in many areas including, Washington, Connecticut, and Idaho. They were later divorced.

Marrietta worked for many years at Lamb Weston in Twin Falls. She worked hard and had many great friends and retired from there in the early 1990’s.

Marietta enjoyed crocheting. She also loved bears, from teddy bears to the Chicago Bears. Her love was her family and always enjoyed spending time with them. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family.

Marrietta is survived by her three children, Wayne (Juanita) Presnell of Declo; Katie (Ted) Rippee of Twin Falls; and Jackie Presnell of Twin Falls; as well as one sister, Barbara (Charles) Spain of Utah and one brother, Russell (Betsy) Dutt of Utah. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

A celebration of Marrietta’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls. A private family inurnment will follow at the Rock Creek Columbarium at Sunset Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
