Seth Thomas (Tom) Hendry went to the arms of his creator on Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was 92 years old. He was born on May 17, 1922 in Weiser, Idaho to Walter Glenn Hendry and Bertha Squires Hendry, the youngest of six children born to the family. He served in the US Army in World War II and though wounded, survived some of the great battles of the European front in Belgium, France and Germany. After the war, Tom came home to marry and become a chiropractic physician. He married Clara May Carter and had four children by the marriage. He later married Marilyn Kjar, a nurse, and had three children by that marriage. For all Tom had been through in the war, he maintained a unique sense of humor. Some of his patients would say that Doctor Tom made them laugh so hard their dislocations and spinal problems fell into place before he even touched them. He came naturally to the center of attention at any family or social gathering because of the stories and jokes he would tell and he never repeated himself. At family gatherings he would carry his chiropractic bench with him and give everyone an adjustment to keep them “aligned” until the next gathering.
He is survived by his children, Rebecca Lynn Danielson, Carla Dee (Randy) Royter from his first marriage and Barbara (Ron) Martinez, Alan (Marcy) Hendry, and Nancy (Dick) Creechley from his second.. He has fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
Tom was one of God’s unique creatures on earth. To know him was to love him. We would like to thank Woodstone Manor for the loving care they gave to Dad. He loved his Woodstone family very much.
