Mr. Carter was born on April 27, 1926 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Ben Duke and Fannie Jernigan Carter and passed away on November 8, 2015 in Tyler.
Mr. Carter served in the U. S. Army and was member of the Southern Oaks Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Jeff Carter and wife Debbie of Tyler; daughter, Candy Robbins of Black Creek, North Carolina; grandchildren, Andrea Robbins of Black Creek, North Carolina, Ryan Carter of Texas and Kelsey Carter of Texas.
