Mr. Thornton was born on Jan 15, 1938 in Athens to Charlie B Sr. & Edna Faye Hodges Thornton and passed away April 4, 2013 in Tyler. Mr. Thornton lived in Tyler most of his life and was a member of Concord Baptist church in Chandler. Survivors include a son: Charlie B Thornton III of Whitehouse, Daughter: Charlene Doss of Bossier City, LA, Grandchildren: Jimmy Palmer II of Tyler, Ashley Thornton of Tyler, Christopher Doss of Bossier City, LA, Joseph Thornton of Dahlonega, GA & Susan Palmer of Bossier City, LA, Sister: Jeaneen Jewell of Longview. He was preceded in death by Parents, and Son David Benjamin Thornton.
