John “Rusty” Barrett, 69, of Flint, passed away on Sept. 24, 2013 in Tyler. Rusty, an electrical designer for S&B Eastman, was born on June 7, 1944 in Mangum, OK. He spent his early years in Mangum and the remainder of his childhood in various places in Oklahoma; graduating in Claremore, OK in 1962. Following high school, he served in the Air Force for 8 years and was a Sergeant upon his discharge; having worked in medical administration. Following his military service, he attended school then began a career in drafting and design. In 1977 he married Teresa Ann Rosencutter. They lived in many places, following Rusty’s work and settled in Flint in 1991. He was a loving husband and father. He loved to sing and was a member of The Fishers of Men Fishing Club. He is survived by his wife, Teresa of Flint; sons, Randy Barrett of Tulsa, Troy Barrett of Wichita, KS, Jack Hamilton of McKinney and five grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4-6PM, Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 Highway 64 West, Tyler.
