She was born September 18, 1929, in Tyler, to the late Karl Tomberlain and Grace Irwin Tomberlain.
Karlene is survived by daughter Karen McCormick of Waco, daughter Kathy Gover and husband Lynn Gover, of Glendale, Arizona, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Louis McCormick, her parents, and sister, Ann East.
She was a wonderful homemaker who loved the Lord, loved and supported her husband and children fiercely. She was loved and adored by her family and will always be remembered as a sweet spirit with the warmest and most joyful smile.
Graveside services will be at Midway Memorial Cemetery in Smith County on Saturday, June 7, 2025,at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Lester Adams officiating, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
