Mary and Tommy owned Mary's Nursery for 35 years and worked side by side until they retired from the business. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas for 20 years. Mary loved helping and taking care of everyone, which she continued to do at the Villas at Pine Ridge as the activity director for 12 years. Her and Tommy enjoyed taking care of the potlucks and bingo events together. Mary was an amazing mother to her children, but also to many others. She took pride in sharing motherly advice and being someone you could confide in. She had strong determination, grit and was a great role model. Mary will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Tommy R. Williams; children, Ronald Rodriguez, Richard (Griselda) Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, Tisha (Alan) Murray, Jennifer Pogan, Rodric (Jennifer) Williams, and Lisa Romas; grandchildren, Jennifer and Richard Rodriguez Jr., Mila and Max Murray, Victoria Pogan, Nolan and Reagan Williams, Andrew and Sylvia Villagomez; sister, Martha Suarez; and numerous cousins, nieces, family and dear friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Thomas and and Louisa Suarez; grandparents, Atalano Suarez and Andrea Suarez; aunts and uncles, Helen Hernandez, Afalano Suarez Jr., and Paul Suarez; and grandson, Joshua Pogan.
