After moving cross country with his family they found themselves in Arizona during 1955. When the Loven family settled in the, what was then a small town, of Phoenix where he met his soon-to-be wife living right next door. Norman and Janet were married on January 10, 1959 in Phoenix. As they created a loving family together they found themselves in Tyler around 1965 where they raised two children, Jessie and Stephen.
When Norman and Janet arrived in Tyler Norman spent over 38 years working with the men and women at Trane which he retired from in 2004. Norman knew what a hard day's work was like, but he always made time for his family as well as his church family.
He, his wife and children attended Rose Center and Park Heights Assembly of God where they remain members. Norman had a fond love for the outdoors where he could be found tending to his fruit trees or making friends with the wildlife around the yard such as the wild hog which would eat from his hand and the rooster which would be found riding his shoulder as Norman cut the grass. Norman was a kind and gentle man who is loved and will be deeply missed.
Norman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet; daughter Jessie and her husband Dan; son Stephen; grandchildren Nathan and Reco; great-grandchildren Noah and Solomon and sister Norma Jean Rains.
To celebrate Norman's life the family will gather at Tyler Memorial Cemetery on Friday, January 25, at 2:00 pm for a graveside service.
