Patsy was a high school graduate, and went on to be a legal secretary. She retired from Payne & Johnson Oil and Gas Production, and was of the Methodist faith. Patsy enjoyed traveling and spending time with her sisters, niece, and special friend, Bobby Collins. She was a kind, caring, and giving person, who was very much loved by everyone. Patsy was always considered the beautiful 'Southern Belle' of the family, and wore that title proudly. She had a deep love for all animals; from raising many orphaned baby animals, kittens, and birds, Patsy was always willing to help an animal in need. She was the best, loving Mother that any son could ask for and will be deeply missed.
Patsy is survived by her loving son, Stephen Lee Smith; sisters, Bettie Rozell, and Linda Ford; sister-in-law; Carolyn Talley, special friend, Bobby Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patsy is preceded in death by her spouse, Marvin Lee Smith; parents, C.E. 'Bud' Arnold and Beatrice Arnold; brother-in-law, Morris Rozell, and Harold Smith; sister-in-law, Ileen Smith Dosett; and mother and father-in-law, Edgar and Beulah Smith.
A celebration of life for Patsy will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, Texas 75704. Burial will take place at Belleville Cemetery in Lockesburg, Arkansas at a later date and time.
