Richard Garrett Goodrich

Richard Goodrich, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on January 13 in Casa Grande, AZ at the age of 80. Richard leaves behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories for all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys Goodrich, brothers Johnny Goodrich and Ron Goodrich and infant daughter Johnna Goodrich.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gloria Goodrich, children Jason Goodrich and wife Letti of Bullard TX, Julie Shrode and husband Jeff of Bullard, TX and Kyle Moseley and partner Jenny Blackwood of Conifer, CO. Also, brothers Steve Goodrich and wife Linda of Chandler, TX and brother Mike Goodrich and wife Patti of Chiefland, FL.

Grandchildren Katie McKeethan, Jerrod Shrode, Jenson Callaway, Dasha Moseley, Decker Moseley, Maddie Ellsworth, Eme Ellsworth, Jett Goodrich and Georgia Goodrich. Richard was also excited to welcome his first great grandchild, Wyatt Shrode, in April of this year.

Richard is a graduate of Chapel Hill High School. Before retirement, Richard was a computer programmer for Cox Communications as well as Andrews Center. Richard is a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tyler, TX. After retirement he lived in Conifer, CO and then Casa Grande, AZ. Richard's greatest passion was being PeePaw. Richard loved to build small tables, cruise the Caribbean and learn to cook beside his wife, Gloria. When living in Colorado, he could be seen following Kyle around. He loved to stay busy helping Kyle with cutting down trees, splitting logs, shoveling snow and installing rails. Sound like a lot of hard work, but Richard loved being outside and helping others.

Pallbearers are Kyle Moseley, Jason Goodrich, Jeff Shrode, Carlos Ramirez, Jerrod Shrode, Cooper Callaway and Braydon McKeethan.

A graveside service for Richard will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 12053 Hwy 64 W., Tyler, TX 75704.
