Robert was raised in Tyler, Texas, where he attended and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School.
Robert spent his career serving his community as a police officer, working with several departments over the years. In addition to his service in law enforcement, he owned and operated a few small businesses throughout his life, including one he ran alongside his father, George.
Outside of his work, Robert had a lifelong passion for music. He was a talented musician who played in multiple bands over the years and deeply enjoyed sharing music with others. Having grown up on Lake Tyler, he was also an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the water through out his life.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert and Daniel, and sisters Elizabeth and Trena, who will always remember him for his love of music and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and George Dunn, and his brother, Tommy.
Robert will be remembered as a man who dedicated much of his life to service, family, music, and the simple joys of time spent outdoors.
