Mrs. Champion was born on November 6, 1926, in Corsicana to George and Willie McCary Wilson and passed away on January 2, 2017 in Tyler. She had lived in Tyler most of her life and was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and Colonial Hills. She was a seamstress for J C Penny and Dillard's for many years.
Survivors include her children a daughter Billie Jones of Tyler and son Gene Champion and his wife Paula of Whitehouse. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75707.
Visitation will be 5:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
