

Teri was raised in Tyler and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1988. She married Jeff McGhee in 1989 and later John Wilson in 2004, and together they shared three children.
Teri dedicated more than 15 years of her life working as a caregiver in home healthcare, where she touched many lives through her compassion and kindness. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, playing with her grandchildren, gardening, antique shopping, helping others, and bringing laughter and smiles to those around her.
She will be remembered as a beautiful, outgoing, creative, and intelligent woman who deeply loved her family and her faith. Over the last two years, Teri fought stage 4 breast and lung cancer with remarkable strength and grace, showing everyone around her just how strong she truly was.
Teri is preceded in death by her father, Stanford Johnston; her grandparents, Jack and Helen Pinkerton of Tyler; and her aunt and uncle, Pat and Donald Pinkerton.
She is survived by her mother, Sharon Pinkerton Leonardi; her stepfather, Richard Leonardi; her sister, Sandra Johnston Baldwin of Tyler; her children, Scott McGhee and Kayla McGhee, both of Tyler, and Brianna Wilson of Grand Saline; and her beloved grandchildren, Brayden McGhee, Kenzie McGhee, Ryder McGhee, Conner Hodges, Wyatt Hodges, Asher Hodges, Presley Hodges, Silas Hodges, and Ily’Ann Nick, all of Tyler.
She is also survived by her niece, Brooke Johnston; her nephews, Grand Baldwin and Landen Dial, both of Tyler; her uncle, Lance Leslie, and Paula Leslie of Dallas; and her cousins, Lori Pinkerton; Coe and Amy Pinkerton; and Chesley, of Tyler and Whitehouse, Texas.
Teri’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and kindness, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
