Funeral services for Virgil Bobby Brodie, age 92, of Tyler will be 2:00PM Friday, March 25, 2016 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Harmin officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park.
Mr. Brodie was born on December 17, 1923 in Slim, Oklahoma to the late Macon Austin and Bessie Hall Brodie and passed away on March 21, 2016 in Tyler.
He lived in Tyler most of his life and was a member of Starrville Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include his daughters: Alatia Brodie of Tyler and Angelique Brodie of Fort Worth; son: Bobby Randall Brodie of Woodlands; 5 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brodie was preceded in death by his wife: Martha Jean Ford Brodie and sons: Waburn Shane Brodie and Stevie Brodie.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home - Cemetery and Mausoleum, Tyler, Texas.
