Graveside services for Wanda Green Cook Bates, age 83, Athens, will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the Tyler Memorial Park with the Rev. Ben Rigsby officiating with Tyler Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bates was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Dallas, and went to be with the Lord on Oct. 22, 2010, in Athens.
She is survived by husband, Tellie Bates of Athens; son, Darrell Cook and wife Marilee of Carroll Springs; daughter, Dee Anne Adams and husband Tommy of Carroll Springs; grandchildren, Courtney Adams of Plantation, Fla., and Josh Adams of Carroll Springs.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
