With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bill Thomas LaVigne "Standing Wolf". He passed away peacefully at home at the age of 67. Bill was a proud member of the Mohegan Tribe.
Bill spent 20 years at Robertson Paper Box. After leaving Robertson's he went on to Mohegan Sun where he worked in a number of departments.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife Wanda, daughter Cindy LaVigne and grandchildren Shawn and Emily Robinson, as well as his stepdaughters Janie and Melissa Scanlon, and his granddaughter McKinley "Princess" Day. He also leaves many, many nieces and nephews.
Bill came from a large family and if you're from Palmer town you probably know at least one of the LaVigne's. He is survived by his brothers Michael, Bruce, Mark and Glenn, and also his "favorite" sister Laura. He was predeceased by his father Alfred, and mother Margaret LaVigne as well as his brothers, John, Ronnie, and oldest sister Gail.
A visitation for Bill will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Montville Funeral Home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich New London Tpke, Uncasville, Connecticut 06382. A graveside funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Ft. Shantok Burial Grounds, Uncasville, CT.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.montvillefuneralhome.com for the LaVigne family.
Although our hearts are breaking we know he is at peace and in a better place.
