Carl J Sutton

He was born on Nov. 11, 1937 in Three Rivers, Michigan to the late Carl M. and Laura Mae (Tase) Sutton. After completing high school, Carl joined the USCG where he served honorably for twenty years until his retirement from the service. He was a proud Mason and worked at Central Sports in Norwich on marine powertrains. He would eventually open his own shop in Uncasville with his wife Rosalie. When Carl and Rosalie closed that business, Carl went to work at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT for another fifteen years until he retired to spend more time at home and with family. When he wasn’t working, Carl enjoyed music and photo editing creating masterpieces from old yellowed photographs giving them new life and recapturing their essence. His greatest joy however, was the time he got to spend with family.

Carl married his beloved wife, Rosalie Marsh on July 29th, 1961 who survives him. He is also survived by his children; Steven, Jeffrey and Carleen, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb 18th from 4pm-6pm at the Montville Funeral Home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich-New London Tnpk., Uncasville, CT with Military Honors rendered at 6pm. Burial is private at the convenience of the family.
