Uncasville- Frederick W. Dragon Jr., age 69, of Uncasville, passed away at his home on August 30, 2010. He was born in Moosup, CT on July 14, 1941 to the late Frederick and Annette (LaValle) Dragon. He married his loving wife Patricia (Mallon) Dragon on December 31, 1982.
Frederick was the owner and operator of Rose City Taxi. He enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Teamsters Union.
In addition to his wife Patricia, Fred leaves behind a son Frederick Dragon III, a daughter Ida Dragon, a daughter Valarie Kowolzski, a son Sean Garvey and grandchildren Brandy Lee Bourdia, Failynn Garvey and Tristan Ournac. He is also survived by sisters Barbara Hawes, Bernadette Barr, Darlene Dell, Tessa VanLear, and brothers Clarence “Little Son” Dragon, George Dragon , Robin Dragon, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister Patricia Reincke.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at St. John’s Church, Maple Avenue, Uncasville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Southeastern CT, 227 Dunham Street, Norwich, CT 06360.
