Bozrah-Jeffery Raymond Miller, age 58, of Bozrah, passed away at William W. Backus Hospital on July 3, 2018. He was born in Groton, CT on February 1, 1960 to the late Charles R. and Carol (Johnson) Miller. He married Bonita (Green) Miller on August 30, 1986 in Montville, CT.
Jeffery worked for Smurfit Stone Container and later became a custodian for Bozrah Board of Education at Fields Memorial School. He was a member and leader of the Boy Scouts of America and served as Camp Ranger and various other positions at Camp Wakenah. He also volunteered at the Gardner Lake Volunteer Fire Company and the Bozrah Volunteer Fire Company. He was very active with Mystery Farms II and the community. He was known as a jack of all trades, a great listener, mentor and conversationalist.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Miller of Bozrah, a daughter Jennifer Records and her husband Dan of Salem, Joyce Miller of Charleston, SC, and Charles Miller of Charleston, SC, and two grandchildren Colin and Lucas Records. He also leaves behind a sister Joyce Morris and her companion Anthony Wagner, a nephew Dylan Morris and sidekick, his dog Bailey. He is predeceased by a brother Glenn Miller and a brother in law James Morris.
Family and friends may visit Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 52 Norwich New London Tpke., Uncasville on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Thursday there will be a calling hour from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral home service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Comstock Cemetery, Depot Rd.
