Malvin A Carlson

He was born on October 28, 1938 in Manchester, CT to the late Rudolph and Svea (Peterson) Carlson. He completed high school and joined the USAF where he served with honor and distinction until his discharge. He worked for Xerox until his retirement.

On March 31, 1962 he married his beloved Donna (Johnson) in Manchester, CT as they began their family together. In addition to his family and career, he was an honorary member of the Oakdale Fire Dept., Montville Jaycees President, Montville American Little League, and Montville VFW. He loved his family and the time they spent at the family cabin in New Hampshire year after year, in a time honored tradition.

Malvin is survived by his wife Donna, sons; Glen of Florida, Kirt (Judith) of Massachusetts, Scott of Gales Ferry, and John (Lisa) of Oakdale, daughters; Maryann (Rick) Clewell of Salem, and Amy (Darryl) Driscoll of Uncasville, brothers; Kent & Lawrence, sisters; Barbara Iacobucci, Bette Kelly, Doris Rini, Pat Margeloney, and Joan Gimler,12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother; Wayne, and sisters; Alyce McArdele, Shirley Reichenbach, and Sylvia Stratton.

Visitation at the Montville Polish Club, 85 Maple Ave., Uncasville, CT on Thursday from 4-6pm with a celebration of Malvin’s life, beginning at 6pm and reception to follow. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
