

Meagan graduated from Montville High School in 2003. A lover of learning, Meagan graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase with a Bachelor’s degree in History. She was active on campus in the History Club and Office of Resident Life. In her senior year, she was awarded a Student Volunteerism award, as well as recognition for the best senior thesis in American History.
Meagan was a former employee at Computer Sciences Corporation. She was a presence in the local community theater scene as an actor, director and formerly on the Board of Groton Regional Theatre. In addition to Groton Regional Theatre Meagan has graced the stage at the Ivoryton Playhouse, Montville Summer Theater, Waterford Week, The Intentional Theatre, LS Centerstage Productions, Mayfly, and Connecticut Outdoor Historical Drama. Big hearted, Meagan not only supported organizations important to her such as the Trevor Project, but also always wanted to contribute to causes dear to her family and friends.
Meagan is survived by her husband Andrew, parents Paul and Georgiana, sisters Kathleen Heller (Chris), Beth Bakst (Dan), Abby Bellini (Chase), her nieces and nephews Rocco, Sloanne, and Evelyn, her Godson Parker Czerniak, and her dogs Ziva, and Vesper.
A “Celebration of Meagan” will be held Saturday April 23, 2022 from 2:30PM - 4:30PM in the Community Room at the Groton Senior Center (Thrive55+), 102 Newtown Road, Groton, CT 06340.
