Albert Hernandez, a remarkable and hardworking family man, graced this world on May 6th, 1947, in Cabo Roja Puerto Rico to loving parents Miguel and Sara Hernandez. After moving to Newark, NJ at a young age, Albert's journey took him into the military, when he answered the call of duty and joined the army after completing high school. While there, he served faithfully as a talented cook, showing off his culinary prowess to hundreds of service men and women, and as a testament to his talent, was presented with a general’s letter of recommendation upon his honorable completion of his service time.
After the army, Albert dedicated an impressive 31 years of his life to General Motors, where he harnessed his growing knowledge of mechanics to help assemble thousands of vehicles. While he found enjoyment in his work, it was his strong desire to provide for and nurture his family that fueled his dedication.
Albert's devotion and love to his loyal and amazing wife, Rosa Hernandez, and their five children, Linda, Lorraine, Jackline, Dale, and Richard, served as the cornerstone of his life. As their family continued to bloom, Albert found immense joy in spending time with his children and adoring grandchildren: Milani, Anthony, Lorenzo, Amarillis, Ethan, and Ryan.
With his infectious smile and kind-hearted nature, Albert touched the lives of all those around him. Whether lending a helping hand around the house or car, offering a warm embrace, or slipping a little extra cash into his grandkids' pockets, he radiated joy and peace. His presence brought comfort and happiness to his family and left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
As we bid farewell to Albert, let us remember the joy and peace he embodied. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love will forever inspire us. May we cherish the memories we shared together and always remember the joy he brought so many of us.
Albert Hernandez will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A visitation for Albert will be held Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
