

Anelia A. Galing of Union, New Jersey — a compassionate, honest, hard-working, and humorous individual — passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 70 years old.
Born on March 8, 1955 in Laguna, Philippines, Anelia was the beloved daughter of the late Simplicio and Candida Galing. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1976 from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, formerly known as the Philippine College of Commerce, in Manila.
In 1977, she successfully completed the CPA examination and began her professional career as a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, where she built a strong foundation marked by integrity and dedication. After immigrating to the United States in 1993, Anelia continued her accounting career with unwavering commitment. For more than 20 years, she worked with various accounting firms in Manhattan, New York, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike for her reliability, diligence, and professionalism.
Anelia was devoted to her family and took great pride in the life she built through perseverance and faith. She is survived by her loving daughter, Maureen Anne Galing; her two sisters; three brothers; and many dear nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her father, Simplicio; her mother, Candida; her older brother, Mauricio; and her younger sister, Liwayway.
Visitation services will be held at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ 07083, on February 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on February 19, 2026, during the same hours.
A religious ceremony will take place at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, 971 Suburban Road, Union, NJ 07083, on February 20, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The committal will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Avenue, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07067, on February 20, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Anelia will be remembered for her warmth and joyful sense of humor. Her strength, kindness, and endless love for her family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
