Cosmo Vacca

Cosmo Vacca , 49, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 in Union , NJ.Cosmo was a graduate of St . Peter's University in Jersey City, NJ where he received his Baccalaureate of Science as well as Masters in Economics and Accounting.

He has been working in the International Banking Industry for the past 27 years and was well respected by his peers, coworkers and friends.

He was a kind hearted, generous person, very intelligent and an incredibly patient teacher, especially with his sisters whom he swore he was going to enroll in a computers 101 course yearly.

He loved being outdoors: fishing, hunting , skiing and working the family farm; including making cheese from the milk of his favorite goats: Mable and Gladys. Even more, he loved sharing all of that with his nephews Luca and Noah ; including yearly ski trips, Devils games , Race track for Labor Day, trips to Italy and of course Nilla's favorite although not his, a New York day : Time Square, Bryant Park, theater, museum, dinner.

Cosmo was predeceased by his father Amedeo. He is survived by his loving mother Maria, his sisters Amalia and Nilla and her husband Cosmo, his nephews Luca and Noah , his step nephews Patrick and wife Danielle, Micheal and wife Martha , Matthew and wife Caroline, James, and his best friends Bella and Samantha.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7 from 4-8 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave Union. Funeral Mass will be offered from Holy Spirit Church, Union, on Saturday, June 8 at 9:30AM with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
