Emma B. Cordasco went to heaven on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Emmy was predeceased by her loving parents Thomas and Emma Bregen, and her dear sister Mary Bregen. She is survived by her loving sister Claire Gilbert and her four loving nieces and their husbands Janet and Edward Sakowicz, Barbara and Ted Kreder, Claire and Tom Byrne, and Catherine and Ricardo Vasquez. Emma is also survived by five dear great-nephews and a dear great-niece. She is also survived by her wonderful friend and caregiver Cecilia F. Braimah.
Emmy was employed by Bell telephone for 41 years in many different capacities. She was a parishioner at St. Thomas-Apostle RC Church in old Bridge. Emmy was a member of the St. Thomas seniors and St. Thomas Ladies Bowling League where she served as president for two years. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, shopping, and traveling. She loved going to see musicals in New York. She also loved spending time with family and friends.
Visiting hours will be from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday, March 17th at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Spirit Church in Union, NJ at 9:30am on Monday, March 18th, followed by an interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
