George Gerkin, 81, passed away om February 3, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Betty Gerkin, his daughter, Lori Lockwood (James), his stepchildren; Clinton and Melissa Green, his four grandchildren; Altorien Lockwood, Krysten Lockwood, Braxten Lockwood and Cordora Green, his great-grandchild, KK, and his special niece, Sandra. He is also survived by his nine siblings-in-law, and is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Sophie Gerkin.
George was the longtime owner of Hawk’s Tavern in Vauxhall, from which he retired after 65 years of serving the community. A memorial service will be held for George on Saturday, February 10 at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union from 2-6pm.
