Helen Pier (nee Bowles) 83, of Union and Summit, NJ, formerly of East Hanover, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Beloved wife of forty-two years to the late William Pier; Loving mother of William Pier and his wife Sharon, and Karen Niedhammer and her husband Warren; Cherished grandmother of Scott Niedhammer, Kristen Niedhammer and Jacqueline Pier.
Mrs. Pier was born in Elizabeth, NJ. She was a secretary for Kemper Insurance for many years. She was also a member of the Fortnightly Club in Summit, NJ.
The family will receive their relatives and friends at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ, on Monday, May 23rd from 5PM to 8PM. A Funeral Service for Mrs. Pier will be held on Tuesday, May 24th at 10AM at the Funeral Home. An Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
