John J. Ganey Jr.

John J. Ganey, Jr. of North Brunswick, passed away on 12/9/25 at 87 years old. He was predeceased by his parents, John J. Ganey, Sr. and Irene Ganey (née Reid), brother-in-law Ed, and nephews Michael and Daniel.

John is survived by his sisters, Patricia Flanagan and Delores Oberlies; his nephews, Frank, Mark, Steven (Sherry), Edward, and James (Linda); his nieces, Patty (Jeff) and Mary (Ron); niece-in-law Anne, and many grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

John was a graduate of St. Michael's High School in Newark and attended Rutgers University. He was a longtime employee of the New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles and proudly served in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Dix. He will be remembered for his dedication to public service, generosity to family, and his love for cars.

A visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home, located at 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083, on December 17, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A religious ceremony will take place at Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church, 170 Mt Bethel Rd, Warren, NJ 07059, on December 18, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The committal will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 125 Central Ave, East Orange, NJ 07018, on December 18, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:15 pm.
