

Mary (Zambolla) Turi, 92, of Union, N.J. passed away on Oct. 18, 2016. Mary was born on Oct. 8, 1924 in Newark, N.J. to the late Lucia and John Zambolla. She was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Anthony Turi; sister, Elizabeth Vanner; brother, Salvatore Zambolla; sister-in-law, Agnes Zambolla; niece, Lucille Smith; and son-in-law, John Cardoso. She is survived by sister, Anne Zambolla of Clark; daughter, Diane (Turi) Londino, son-in-law, Joseph Londino, and granddaughter, Amanda Mary-Rose Londino of Union; daughter, Patricia (Turi) Cardoso, and Hans Van Den Berghe of Marshfield, M.A.; and nephew, John Zambolla. She was also loved by many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark in 1943. She had been a resident of Union since 1961. Mary worked in the catalog department at Seton Hall University’s Walsh Library in South Orange, N.J. for 23 years, retiring in 1997. Visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union on Tuesday, Oct. 25 2016, from 2 to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, 971 Suburban Rd., Union. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
