Michael "Mickey" Vincent McGovern

Michael was born in Cavan, Ireland and lived in Roselle Park for 30 years. He proudly worked as a truck driver for Carolina Freight, Linden for 32 years. He was also a member of Teamsters Local #701 of North Brunswick.

Cherished son of the late John and Mary Kate McGovern. Beloved husband of 45 years to the late Bernadette McGovern. Loving father of Caroline Budis and her husband Joe, Michael McGovern, and Kevin McGovern and his wife Eileen. Adoring Pop of Joey, Matt, Sean, Ryan, and Owen. Dear brother of Phyllis McGovern of Elizabeth, John McGovern of Elizabeth, and Teresa Hughes of Long Island. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave Union NJ. A funeral mass will be offered at St. Theresa’s Church, Kenilworth on Thursday, June 12th at 10 AM with interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Place, Memphis TN 38015.
