Vashti Patricia Brown Edwards, 74, passed away on September 27, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Louie Edwards, her children; Tia Washington (Alvin), Kenneth Edwards (Roneisha), Julius Simmons (Ketki), her brother, Walter White Jr, her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Vashti was a dedicated nurse who loved her job and patients. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, crocheting and time with family. A service will be held at 10am on Monday October 2 at Christian Pentecostal Church, 971 Clinton Ave, Irvington, followed by a burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside. Arrangements will be under the direction of McCracken Funeral Home, Union.
