The second oldest of five children, Vince was born on April 25th, 1946 in Newark, NJ to James and Mary DeVito. Vince was drafted into the Army and after being honorably discharged in 1968, he received training through IBM and began working at Schering-Plough Pharmaceutical Company. It was at Schering where he met the love of his life at the coffee cart and on July 14th, 1979 he married Nina Santone. Together they raised two sons, Vincent and Matthew.
Vince lived life to the fullest and thoroughly enjoyed his retirement. In addition to cheering on the Scarlet Knights, enjoying a nice glass of red, eating sweets, and telling stories to his family over a meal, Vince spent a majority of his days at “work” playing as many rounds of golf as possible before the sun went down.
Vince is survived by his wife Nina, his two sons, Vincent and Matthew, his granddaughter Malaya, his siblings Regina, Christina, and Mauro, several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and acquaintances.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at 11:30am at Hollywood Cemetery in Union, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Vince's name.
