Delta Rosalie Cruber

Delta "Rosalie" Cruber, born December 21, 1921. Rosalie was the youngest of seven children born to William and Edith Brown on their family walnut farm in Ontario, California. Our precious Rosalie journeyed peacefully to her final rest on having been surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Upland. Rosalie graduated from Chaffey High School in 1945 and Chaffey College in 1947. She was a very strong and independent woman who many believed was born before her time. She loved to travel and enjoyed cruising and camping trips, visiting multiple state beaches and national parks around the U.S. with family and dear,longtime friend, Joan Bailey. Rosalie had a quick, dry wit and always enjoyed a good joke. She adored her family, friends, basking in the sun and slot machines.

She married the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Cuber in February 1954, and gave birth to three daughters Carla, Charlotte and Karen. Rosalie worked many years as office administrator for Elmer Brown Sprinkler Company in Fullerton. She volunteered at a local food bank distributing food to those in need. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Edith, brothters: Clarence, Elmer, Ralph and LeRoy Brown. Sisters: Ethel Sheridan and Firus Eggertsen. Her husband, Charles and daughter Carla Connors.

Rosalie is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Bruton (Dave) of Upland and Karen Bonifas of Whidbey Island, Washington. Grandchildren: Gina Connors, Laguna Niguel, Erin Connors, Fontana, Corey Bonifas, Whidbey Island, Washington, Christopher Bonifas, Kent, Washington, Matt and Ian Bruton, Upland, Amber Bonifas, Whidbey Island, Washington and Ryan Eldridge, Grants Pass, Oregon, sister-in-law Edna Brown, Fullerton and 13 great grandchildren. Rosalie was an inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 with funeral services at 4:00 p.m. all at Stone Funeral Home, Upland. Private Interment at Riverside National Cemetery. Riverside.
