Joan P. Taylor

Joan was born October 30, 1949 to Andrew and Nancy Porreco. She is survived by her Mother, Brother, Richard, Son, Matthew, and 3 grandsons; Mason, Bryce and Chase. She was preceded in death by her Father, Andrew and by her husband, Dr. Louis Sinopoli.

Joan grew up all over the world as a result of her father's long career in the Air Force. She graduated High School in Colorado, and went on to achieve multiple post graduate degrees including a Doctorate in Education from UCLA, and a PhD in Organization Development from Lexington University. Ultimately her long career in Healthcare, which started in Nursing and

Respiratory Therapy at Kansas University, ended as Director of Organizational Effectiveness for Kaiser Permanente, when she retired in 2008. Joan was an incredibly intelligent and hard working woman who earned the respect and admiration of all that worked with and for her. She has too many professional and educational accomplishments to list, but I will end by mentioning her contribution to the Respiratory Care industry by serving on the National Board of Respiratory Care and contributing to the growth and advancement of the Respiratory Care industry both with her late Husband and individually.

Joan had many interests, but cooking, gardening, shopping and spoiling her Yorkshire Terriers are at the top of that list. She also enjoyed spending time with her family at a long time vacation spot, Lake Havasu City. She cherished the days of boating on the river, laying in the sun, and watching her husband and son waterski.

Joan lived her final days comfortably at home in La Verne, where she and her husband raised their only child from 1983 to the present. She will be loved always and remembered eternally by her family and friends.
