

JoAnne Danielle Howard, lovingly known as "Mummy Witch," passed away on December 20, 2024, in Upland, California. She was born on February 23, 1962, and her life was a testament to love, family, friends, and cherished memories.
JoAnne was the beloved daughter of Bernice Craigie and a devoted sister to Sherri Robinson and Lori Doane. She shared a deep bond with her husband of 43 years, Joseph Howard Jr. (Dave), with whom she built a life filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised two sons: Joeseph Howard III of Fort Mojave, Arizona, and Patrick Howard of Ontario, California. Daughter in Law Misty Howard joined the family when she married Joseph in 2003. JoAnne’s legacy also lives on through her grandchildren—Krysten Howard, Joseph Howard IV, and Megan Howard—and her great-granddaughter Elizabeth Diaz. Her family brought her immense joy and pride throughout her life.
JoAnne was known as a first-rate dog trainer, but her talent wasn’t reserved only for dogs. Her gift with animals of all shapes and sizes was second to none. Animals were drawn to JoAnne and knew they could trust her to teach them something, help them, or just give them love. She is preceded in death by many beloved furry, scaled, and feathered friends that are happy to have their Mummy in the afterlife.
The many friends that JoAnne has made over the years is a testament of the life that she led. Her Chocolate Rituals are legendary many friends were made, and good times have been had. JoAnne loved a campout and would stay up all hours doing metaphysical work and just enjoying her friends. Everyone JoAnne knew was welcome to come over to talk out a problem and have a laugh, or just get a hug. That is a lasting impact that her many friends will always carry with them.
A service to honor JoAnne’s memory will be held on January 28, 2025. Staring at 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM, at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, California. With a reception following at VFW Post 8680 in Rancho Cucamonga. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the many ways she touched their hearts.
