June 11, 1957 – November 10, 2024
Tona Lynn Stephenson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, niece, and cousin, passed away on November 10, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 67 years old.
Born on June 11, 1957, Tona was the daughter of William (Bill) Winters and Suandra Winters, who raised her with unwavering love and devotion. She had a natural gift for making people feel at home—welcoming others with grace, care, and a quiet strength that left a lasting imprint on everyone blessed to know her.
Tona is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Jeffrey Stephenson, and their three sons: Ryan, Blake, and Travis, each of whom carries forward her spirit of fierce love and loyalty. Tona lived her life as a proud grandmother—known as “Grandma Tona” to Kylee, Mackenzie, Delaney, and Hunter, and as “Wowo” to Carter, Carsen, and Caden. Her youngest grandchild, Greyson, was born just eight days before her passing. Though he never had the chance to call her by name, he was already held in the circle of her love—a tender reminder that even as one chapter closed, her legacy was already continuing in the next.
She remains the beloved niece of her Aunt Yudora, Uncle Freeman, and Uncle Newman, and a loyal friend whose warmth continues to be felt by many. Tona’s life was rooted in connection, and her legacy lives on in the family and friendships she nurtured so deeply.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 6, at Stone Funeral Home 355 East 9th Street, Upland at 11:00am, where memories will be shared in her honor.
