Verna moved to Upland as a young child where she lived and worked her entire life in the city. She is preceded in death by her husband Rodolfo “Coco” Ayala. They were married in Upland at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in 1959. Verna worked for Millers Outpost for 25 years before retiring at the same time as her husband so they could enjoy their retirement together. She loved being outside with her dogs and gardening. Verna is survived by her 2 daughters Valerie and Michelle, 3 grandchildren Kendra, Faylynn and Ryan, and 3 great grandchildren Alicia, Logan and Lexi. She will truly be missed!
A wake will be held Thursday, January 23rd at 1:00pm at Draper Mortuary in Ontario. The funeral will be held Friday, January 24th at 11:30am at St. Joseph’s Church in Upland. Final resting place will be at Bellevue Memorial Park immediately following the church service.
