Victor Anthony Gomez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Upland, California, at the age of 60. Born on September 7, 1964, in Los Angeles, California, Victor lived a life full of heart, dedication, and unshakable love for his family and community.
Victor is survived by his devoted wife, Rose Marie Gomez; his cherished daughters, Victoria Rose Gomez and Vivienne Marie Gomez; and his treasured grandchildren, Riley Carrillo, Nikki Carrillo, and Steven Carrillo. He is also remembered by his father, Guillermo Gomez; and his siblings, Guillermo Gomez, Jr., Sarah Gomez-Bravo, Ana Gomez, and David Gomez. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Nicholas Carrillo, who passed away earlier this year on March 16.
A proud and loving family man, Victor found joy and purpose in the roles he held throughout his life—whether as a stay-at-home dad during his daughters' formative years, a strong and steady protector in his roles as a security guard, bodyguard, and bouncer, or as a joyful grandfather known for his warmth and creativity.
Victor was a lifelong lover of sports and an active athlete in his youth. He played football at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), where he earned the affectionate nickname “Psycho-Gramps” for his fierce spirit and determination as a non-traditional student-athlete.
A proud and honored member of the Pomona Ruff Ryders Chapter, Victor was part of a close-knit motorcycle group known for its commitment to family values, charitable fundraising, and community service. He thrived in this brotherhood and the opportunities it provided to give back and ride with purpose.
Victor was also a gifted artist and tinkerer, passionate about working with mixed media—from paintings and sculptures to creative furniture. His artistic expression was another way he connected with those around him, always sharing pieces of his soul through his craft.
Above all, Victor will be remembered for the love he gave so freely—to his family, his friends, and even to strangers. He had a special gift for making others feel seen and valued, and he never passed up a chance to share a story, lend a hand, or crack a smile.
A memorial service celebrating Victor’s life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Stone Funeral Home FD272, located at 355 E 9th St, Upland, California 91786.
